Mood Variations (Selected Works 2018–2022)
In January 2018, after painting more than 800 chihuahuas in watercolor, I decided to learn how to use acrylic paint.
Changing medium changed my way of painting and I started to notice how much my mood influenced my work. When I felt energetic or exalted, the colors became brighter, the eyes wider, sometimes almost mystical. When I felt low, the compositions closed in, the tones darkened, and the figures seemed more withdrawn. Even my signature began to change — rising when I felt up, sinking when I felt down.
The works shown here, created between 2018 and 2022, reflect different emotional states.
